The next European Mars Conference is on in two weeks. Taking place in Paris, on the 28th and 29th of November.
This is being run and organised by the French arm of the Mars Society, Association Planète Mars. But, representatives from Mars Society UK will be attending!

The Perseverance Mars rover has discovered patterns of minerals that could be a biosignature – something that indicates life may have existed there now or in the past.
The minerals were located on an ancient river valley, carved by water rushing down it. The area on Mars is called Cheyava Falls.

This conference will welcome speakers from around the world to present their missions – from habitat to analogue astronaut training and experiments.

“An Evening with Michael Foale” is coming to Aylesbury. Hear from British-American NASA astronaut, Michael Foale.
Michael has flown six space missions, spent time on both the MIR and ISS spacestations, helped fix the Hubble Space Telescope and spent more than a year in space.
The event takes place at Aylesbury Vale Academy on the 7th of May, 7:00pm to 8:00pm. Tickets will be available on the door at £10.

Recent discoveries on Mars by Mars Express show that some of the water ice may extend as deep at 3700 meters below the surface. This is much higher than previously detected.
But perhaps more importantly, a new method to detoxify the Martian water has just been selected by NASA’s Innovative Advanced Concepts program.

It’s exactly 20 years since Beagle 2 touched down on Mars.
Built in Milton Keynes, UK, on a tiny budget, and flown to Mars attached to the side of ESA’s Mars Express. It was due to land on Mars on Christmas Day in 2003…

Today another goal was reached for CHASM. They released the new Wiki at a workshop at the British Interplanetary Society (BIS). This new wiki will be the place for international Analogue experts to collaborate.

NASA’s MAVEN orbiter has taken several views of Mars in the ultraviolet light (which is light beyond what our eyes can see). Doing this can reveal new features or systems taking place on the planet.
The images were taken at different times in Mars orbit. Here we present the images next to generated images of Mars for easy comparison.
