The Second CHASM Workshop

CHASM is a Community of Human Analogue Space Missions. This will be the second in a series of CHASM workshops. (More about the first here).

CHASM Workshops are designed for collaboration amongst Analogue space missions, to:

• Avoid redundancy
• Improve research
• and Create further networking

This workshop will be held at the analogue space mission Astroland in Spain from the 24-25 February. Also online.

CHASM aims to bring the analogue space mission community together with a set of workshops and conferences. The CHASM x Astroland workshop will have two main subjects:

• Safety, escape systems and control
• Spacesuits

Ares Station

Transport will be provided to Ares Station. But it is located in a cave so somethings to note:

• Please, bring your own clothes and footwear (we recommend something comfortable and light, but warm, waterproof if possible, and skid resistant, eg hiking boots.) We will provide you with disposable overalls, and basic PPE.
• The temperature inside Ares Station is constant at around 14ºC, and the high humidity levels (over 90%) lower the wind chill.
• The visit will be controlled and monitored by one or more of our experts, it is imperative to follow their indications and to take extreme precautions during the whole duration of the visit (access, crossing, and especially inside the station).
